I haverecently had the misfortune of recieving a trojan -
my virus program picked it up and i had to go into safe
mode to try and delete - I also had to disable System
Restore which I can no longer reactivate - the virus was
the download.trojan.

Any ideas out there how i can system restore back up and
running

1. Put the in the Windows XP CD not restore Disk
2. Click Start , Run
3. Type the following then OK

rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection
C:\Windows\Inf\sr.inf

If you don't have a CD try this.

You can also open Windows Explorer, go to
C:\Windows\Inf folder and right-click sr.inf (Then Install)

Thanks a lot I ll give it a go - cheers
