Re size pictures

i am tring to re-size some pictures with Picture it 9 I save them as a JPEG but they will not go into the site . It just pops up saying that it does't support the JPEG file. What am I doing wrong ???

Save them as JPG not JPEG

Also, you might download the free IrfanView and use it to resize resample your images.
It does an excellent job. Use resample and the Lazlo filter. ( slowest filter )

Its also great for batch renaming...from jpeg to jpg for instance !
