Susan,

Looks like the INF is recursively calling other INFs to import the
information. Make sure that Layout.inf, ks.inf and, wdmaudio.inf are in the
same directory as the Sigmatel.inf. Just copy them from \windows\inf to
where ever the Sigmatel.inf is (F:\sigmatel), and then try importing the
Sigmatel.inf again.

hi XPE gurus

i downloaded the latest drivers of Sigmatel sound card from the
manufacturers site and added the inf file of SigmaTel's sound drivers
in Component Designer ....but on importing
this file it gives the following errors ....

*** Error ***:F:\sigmatel\stac97.inf: [STAC97.NT] Cannot find included
INF File: "D:\sigmatel\LayoutFile=layout.inf".
*** Error ***:F:\sigmatel\stac97.inf: [STAC97.NT] Cannot find included
INF File: "F:\sigmatel\ks.inf".
*** Error ***:F:\sigmatel\stac97.inf: [STAC97.NT] Cannot find included
INF File: "F:\sigmatel\wdmaudio.inf".
Warning:[STAC97.NT]: Cannot find [KS.Registration] specified in Needs
directive in the current and included INFs.

can anyone help me .......
