Hi:
What type of port your scanner is using?
COM,LPT,USB ???
Try to exam the port status in "Windows Device Manager" or in the BIOS setup
mode.
or You can install scanner to another machine .

I just went through the same problem your having... look
in the device manager and see if your scanner shows up as
an "unknown device" listed under USB. If it is, you have
to delete the scanner program in "add/remove programs" in
the control panel.

Hi Mark.E:
Have you check the BIOS setting?

Mike,

Thanks. I've tried that already and it doesn't work. The
device manager is recognizing the scanner under imaging
deveice.

Scanner problem

I had to face a lot of trouble with my brand new Epson printer few days ago. As I am not a very computer literate I did not know what to do. One of my friend advised me to get in touch with http://www.supportonclick.com. As I followed his advice the staffs over there immediately solved my problem. I found them quite skilled and helpful to solve any kind of problem that is also at a very cheap rate. I think if you seek their help they will help you to solve your problem.
