Returned two item to newegg two weeks ago.They managed to lose the two
sticks of ram in the package. Thier remedy? A $50 credit and advice to make
a claim to UPS. Had to replace the ram at my own expense

You should have done a UPS tracer...
if they got the item...it was their fault.

If UPS lost the item...you should have made a claim as instructed.

=======================================================

they got the item. they said it was damaged and refused to replace it. when i confronted them with the facts, newegg said...read the fine print. it says ASIS. i never thought that an outfit could sell a brand new item ASIS without declaring it openly and not deceitedly. anyhow, the warning sticks, creative says they will replace it and that they have no control over vendors. i have filed a complaint with the BBB and the FTC. No big deal but people should know when there is a sleezer in the neighborhood.
