re-partitioning harddrive

how do i re-partition my 30 GB HD from c: = 27 GB & d: =
3 gb into c: = 24GB & d: = 6 GB ?

running on XP

You can use a third party software like Partition magic
to do this. but there is no guarantee that the data will
be there. you will have to back up your data.

It's a pretty good bet it will be there as long as you don't turn off
PC in middle of operation.
