Re-loading Windows XP to get rid of a trojan

I have a trojan that is running while Norton is trying clean it out and so it
is not able to get rid of it. It was suggested that I re-load windows to
wipe it out of the system. First, I was wondering if this was necessary, and
second if I do this am I going to have to re-load everything else (modem,
printer drivers, internet ???)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete, click on Talk List, and then the Processes tab. If
you can find out which process the trojan is using, you should be able to
end the process and then run Norton. Look for processes other than "System
Idle" that are using a lot of CPU or, if you know which trojan, try
searching Google or something for the process that trojan uses.

Good luck!

you can Create rescue Disk then start the PC with it following its
instructions and that depends on the version of Norton or you may download
the removal tool and the instructions from the symantec site
