RE-INTSALL on new computer

Hi,

My computer crahsed and I am going to get a new one. Can I use my exsisting
Windows XP CD? I understand that once I registered it ... it registered my
components???

How does this work so I do not have to purchase another copy??

A new PC will probably come with a new install of XP including SP2.
Check it out first. You can reinstall your old XP onto the new PC but
you'll need MS approval first. (it is free).
 
Thanks ... I appreciate your help ... Would you by any chance have a a link
where I can go to get Microsoft Approval?
