Can you tell me the rules on re-installation of XP?

I want to start over with my PC which currently has XP
professional installed. I have the PC manufacturers OS CD
and the registration code, however I was told that you
can only install XP once on the same PC?

You can reinstall XP as many times as you want on the PC it was originally
installed on. You may have misunderstood what you were told. You can only
install XP on one PC. If you have two PCs you want to install XP on, you
have to have two XP licenses.

You were told wrong. You can install as many times as you need or
want to.
