Text in a text box cannot be wrapped around a graphic because both are
already in the drawing layer. Is is vital that you have the text in a text
box?

I have text in a text box. I have a jpg picture on the page. The 'help'

file says 'select the picture' go to format, picture, layout advanced. No
matter which icon I click on the text will not wrap around the picture. It
doesn't matter what I do, it won't do it. If I select the text and choose
layout it does the same thing....nothing. If I set it at "Square" left only
the text box appears in front of the picture...no wrapping. If I set it at
"tight" & left only a certain portion of the text disappears behind the
picture. I cannot get the text to wrap around the picture. What am I
missing?????????

Thanks Suzanne, No it is not vital and I figured it out after I posted. I'm so used to using Publisher and text boxes that I was stuck in the process. I took the text out of the box and it worked fine. Now I"m having the same problem with Publisher, believe it or not. In publisher all text is in boxes and I've never had a problem until now. It's probably me. Thanks for being there

Although Publisher may have improved, my experience has been that the
settings can be confusing and misleading. You have to set the text wrapping
style in the text box as well as for the graphic (or something like that).

process. I took the text out of the box and it worked fine. Now I"m having
