Can someone pleae help me...

I wanted to to a virus check in safe mood and this is what i did

In normal mode i chose start - Run - Msconfig and then chose the start in
safe option.

When I rebooted I got a welcome screen and two options Adminastrator and my
log in one. Everytime I chose either one of the options my comp restarts
itself...!!! Even if I dont chose an option the computer restarts itself...!!

I've rebooted and pressed F8 to try and get into safe mode that way but
still the same result.

Any ideas will be most welcome...

First thing to try is getting into your BIOS to make sure nothing there is
causing problems. On many systems you hit DEL or F1 on bootup (some it's F10)
and you can get into the BIOS Their should be a 'load optimized defaults'
there somewhere and that would be my first thing to try. Check things to do
with Power, Boot, and ACPI. Many never systems need ACPI turned on to boot
(otherwise they reboot).
