Help! I had to reinstall XP after our PC contracted the
Blaster Virus. Now when Windows boots I get a message
saying I need to re-activate before I can log on. When I
choose the "yes" option to activate, XP logs off, then I
get the same message to reacivate. I called Microsoft
support (NOT toll-free) and was given an incident #srx-
031103601818, then transferred to another dept where I
remained on hold (still on MY nickel) for a good half hour
before I hung up out of frustration, with no answer or
solution.

Are you not in the US or a country where toll free call can be placed? Make
sure you are using the number given in the activation wizard.

* Toll-free telephone numbers are available in all countries whose telephony
infrastructures provide for them. The telephone numbers to call are
displayed when telephone activation is chosen.

It is posts by these Corporate IDIOT's that make
newsgroups unhelpful. Instead of blasting the post, try
helping it.

I would help, but I have the same problem and would have
appreciated some helpful instructions here instead og a
MICROSOFT ROBOT telling me how to dial a phone.
