Just Wondering

I am going to try and ecplain this asbest as possible. I am using the ATI
original drivers. My monitor ia a samsung, 19". When I set the resolution to
1600x1200, my screen does not stay with the outer edges of the monitor, it
scrolls to the left and right and up and down. When I reduce the resolution
down to 1280x1040, there is no scrolling. What gives?

Is LCD (TFT) your monitor? Because if it is, the native resolution for alls
monitors of 19"(same for 17") is 1280*1204 .LCD monitors and graphic card
default always works in native resolutions. For to have a native resolution
to 1600*1200 you need a LCD of 21". Native resolution = the best resolution

R U sure your monitor supports this resolution at the refresh rate you're
trying to run it at? Frequently the fastest vertical refresh rate for a higher
resolution is lower.
