Is there a program out there that uses Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection
that will work without having to sign up for a static IP address?

Thanks

FYI, just because you don't have a static IP, does not mean RDC won't
work. It just means the host IP may change and the client needs to know
what it is when they try to connect.
I have a dhcp IP and it doesn't change but once in 6 mos or so. So
basically its static.

I'm sure you'll get answers from knowledgeable people here.

I use 2 different programs to accomplish this. The first is free for 30
days or 2 hours of use, whichever comes first, as a demo. It's logmein.com
logmein pro version. If you don't pay for it, it reverts to a logmein free
version that doesn't have printing nor file transfer (but you can still
remotely control a computer that's set up with it--FREE).

Another program, that's much quicker and slicker is gotomypc.com. However,
you pay for that quickness and slickness ... about twice what logmein.com
charges for their pro version.

Both these options keep track of any IP address changes for dynamic IPs.

Hope this helps,
me

This is what Dynamic DNS is for. There are free accounts and free clients.
