I am running RC2 right now and have not purchased a released version yet.
Was wondering if there were any significant differences. I am having
trouble supporting my webcam and scanner and cannot do Vista DVD burning
with error my video card (ATI 9250)does not support Direct9x? IE7 keeps
going "offline" for some unknown reason, looking at tools, checkmark
continues to appear on "offline" I remove the checkmark, and shortly
thereafter, can't surf the net and the checkmark is back. Hoping this is
all related to RC2??

9250? You need at least 9500 for Vista Aero. You will need a new video card.
Double-check specs etc. before buying.

Otherwise, check with the manufacturer websites for the various Vista
drivers you might need. Check to see if your cam is supported.

Just as small example: Logitech now says my Webcam Messenger isn't Vista
compatible, but I got it working any way as I kept the beta drivers from
Vista's RC days on file and used those which enable it. Since RTM, Samsung
has released working drivers for the printer here fixing the the printer's
networking problem. The Epson works fine too. The SONY Handycam works OK and
the SONY stream/picture handling software is as rude on Vista as on anything
else.

I have the release version and have not such problems. Of course, I do not
have a webcam and have nVIDIA FX 5700 Graphics card which is supported.

IMHO, IE7 work MUCH BETTER in Vista than it does in XP Pro
