I just migrated to using RC2 after 4 months of RC1 upgrade edition, and this
seems to be the best release over all the 12 editions of Vista/Longhorn I
have tried, will I be able to upgrade from this to the full release in a
cople of weeks because I am going to completely migrate to Vista Ulimate for
all my machines.

RC2 is the first edition since Beta 1 that a lot of my Astronomy programs
work on, for the most part, and I would hate to lose the settings that I have
for my CCD Cameras and additional data that my programs have stored.

Hi,

Yes, you can upgrade to the final release from RC2. Please note that it has
to be a Full version of Ultimate in order to do so. The prerelease versions
will not qualify an upgrade disk, and any other version (Home Premium,
Business) is considered a downgrade to Ultimate and is not allowable.

Launch the Ultimate retail full edition Setup from the RC2 desktop and
select the upgrade install option. Use the Windows Easy Transfer wizard
from the full edition dvd first to capture your files and settings in case
you run into problems.
