rc1 download issues

tried to use dm but it wouldn't allow saving to any other location except my
documents so finally said ok it appeared to download but the dm window didn't
close and I could not find the file in the location listed in dm. tried the
html download link and got only a 712kb iso file with the vista(long name). I
clicked on the launch button of dm which opens my isobuster however no files
exist to look at. I now can't install anything, thought maybe a spyware on
machine(new install of vista beta on a clean drive) so downloaded spybot to
check it out however when I try and run install it reboots my machine
immediately

I am having the same problem downloading to Vista Beta 2 build 5384.
DM allowed me to save it to the desktop under my user ID. Like you, I
cannot find the iso file, and "search" comes up with nothing. I cannot
figure out how to filter the search for files over a certain size. You'd
think it would be easy to find a 2.5GB file.

I finally turned off the User account control (uac) and I was able to
download the file where ever I chose and it actually shows up as it is
downloading with an extra .dm at the end of the file. Probably for the
download manager.
