RAS VPN setup

I have a windows 2000 server running RAS and can VPN into
it with my laptop without problems.

Now I'm trying to setup another windows 2000 server.
Here is what I think the problem is.


in routing and remote access
under ip routing
general
interface internal
type internal
ip address not available
admin status unknown
operational status non-operational

the RAS that works on the other server has an ip address

a bit more info on the one that does not
in routing and remote access
under routing interfaces
internal says enabled and connected.

The internal interface is the server end of the remote access connection.
It will not become active and acquire an IP address until a remote user
connects.

So all this really means is that nothing has connected yet. It is not
the cause of the problem, just an indicator of it.
