Hi all,

Quick System specs...

Win2k Server
SP4(Not by choice)

This server calls out to make SLIP conections and retirive data. Not
to taxing i know, but heres the pinch. When ever a connection is made
the Connection becomes the default Gateway and the LAN Default gateway
disapears. I have use Default Gateway on remote network UNchecked. I
need some assistance anything would be nice.

You are doing the right thing to avoid change of default Gateway. Can you
please tell me what the issue is?

Sure, Chetan

When ever a connection is made the Dial-Up Connection becomes the
default Gateway and the LAN Default gateway disapears. That is the
problem.

Yes, that is what happens by default. The LAN gateway is disabled and
replaced by the dialup connection.

This will only be a problem if you have a segmented local LAN. Traffic
for the local subnet is still delivered directly. If you have other local
subnets which you need to access, add static routes for them using the LAN
gateway.
