Ranges in protected worksheet will not reset

I have a worksheet setup allow users to edit certain range areas when the sheet is protected, however, after those ranges deleted users still can edit even with the sheet protected. Any idea?
 
Tools>Protection>Allow Users to Edit Ranges..>Clik on the Delete button after the range is selected
