Random restarting during boot sequence

Having some difficulty during the boot sequence where it
will (at times) randomly restart the reboot. It will
happen just as the windows cursor appears on the blank
screen, then jump back to the initial computer boot
screen. This will happen 2-4 times before going all the
way through into Windows.

I've used the BOOTFIX command from the XP CD to no
additional effect.
 
I'm not sure if this will address the issue you're experiencing, but you
could try the "fixmbr" command in the System Restore console.
