For some reason my comp will randomly restart without a coundown, usually
right after I get on the internet once in a while. It seems to happen more
often when my computer comes out of standby. Thanks for any ideas.

Hi

Any error messages seen with the restart? Have a look in the Event Viewer
for any entries that may help with the problem.

There is no error message or countdown with the restart. I think it might be
a system failure because there is no countdown with the restart. Someone
said I should uncheck the automatic restart box under system failure and see
what happens when the computer restarts, but I’m afraid that I won’t be able
to get it started myself if the computer doesn’t do it automatically. Should
I not be afraid to uncheck the box? Thanks.

Hi

Unchecking that box will show any Blue Screen that may accompany the
restart. With that there will be a Stop Code. If you could please that,
then the problem for the restarting could be narrowed down.

My comp restarted again today, two times. And even though I had the box
unchecked I still did not get a blue screen. The comp just restarted without
any coundown or blue screen. It usually happens when I click on internet
explorer. Thanks for any more ideas.
