Random Resets

I'm not sure if this is the right subject area to put this questio
but it might as well could be, could anyone help me out with som
ideas as to why my computer randomly resets in the middle of th
night
(Other then "It gets scared from the dark" that is
The resets don't occur every night
And never did when i'm actually using it pc

i had a modem that decided to reset my computer due to bad drivers
before, it stopped resetting atfer i updated the drivers though.. i had
the green usb frog modem from alcatel.

it could be a driver problem for anything though

If it's win2k or XP, disable the restart-on-error setting in
windows. GOogle for details if you're unfamiliar with it.

You might also try disabling the power management timed
events in windows (or whichever OS, or in bios if
applicable)... only the timed events, set them to disabled,
not trying to disable all of the power management feature
itself.

Bad third parties screensaver?
The system can't handle "standby mode"?
