Random Reboots for 3 weeks, Stoopid USB IRQ

Been getting random reboots for over 3 weeks now, due the following:
1. Windows update database server crashing periodicly every other hour when
it runs, for some reason causes:
2. The CPU, detects Windows scanning the IRQ of the USB HCD, which I have 4
on the motherboard, and as the moronic OS refuses to let me change the IRQ
that its SHARING WITH THE ONBOARD SOUND CARD, the system BSODs. The CPU does
this to 'protect' the sytem since there's a resource conflict. Ironicly, OF
COURSE, this does the opposite and sometimes I lose hours of work due to
corrupted files.
Sure wish windows could detect the goddamned error. It happily displays that
both devices are working. If I disable the usb and go usb-less, XP will not
boot, nor can I install it.... how dumb.
3. Everything is updated, bios, winblows, ect.

Is there NO WAY IN HEAVEN ABOVE OR HELL BELOW TO CHANGE THE DAMNED IRQ LIKE
WE USED TO!?!

Kinda tired of working along in VSS developing a database only to have it
suddenly reboot. I dont get BSOD errors because the system is a 64bit and its
so fast it reboots in 5 seconds. That's a plus a I suppose.

I stopped using the 64bit eval because I hoped that would fix it.
Took 3 weeks to figure out it was the damned IRQ.

Windows refuses to let me change the irq, I cannot do this any other way,
the soundcard and usb hcds are all onboard.

I guess I can try editing the registry, not sure if its controlable that way.
