If Windows ME has a max 512 ram
what is the max for Windows XP Home?
 
err, Windows XP Home and Professional both support 4GB of physical RAM.
 
Woops, it would help if i has scrolled down a bit. all i saw was 2GB :(.

Of course. Regardless of what the operating system supports, you
can't use more RAM than the motherboard supports, and that's
usually less than what the operating system supports.

Nevertheless, each operating system does have a max, and it's 2GB
for 9x/Me, and 4GB for XP.
