Help! I am trying to upgrade my RAM from 248MB to at least 1GB. My
motherboard, a P4VMM2, is said to accept either 2X SDRAM or 2X DDR
SDRAM. I am running a single SDRAM, would I in theory be able to remove
that SDRAM and replace it with a 1GB DDR RAM for the upgrade. Any ideas
would be much appreciated. Percy.

What you are looking for is a 1GB stick of DDR400 (PC3200), non-ECC RAM.
I'd recommend the following. -Dave

I see. Am I wrong in believing that I need to match the RAM to the
data bus or Motherboard frequency. As you can see, i'm in the
dark here. Percy.

Dave knows about Intel systems, I'm sure he's correct in saying you
should use ordinary 184 pin DDR400 (PC3200) RAM.

I suppose you could pick from anything on this page.

Good luck.
