RAM Upgrade

My motherboard has 3 x RAM slots with 1 occupied with 1 x 128mb. I use
Cucial.com upgrade advisor to ascertain that I can upgrade by using 1 x
512mb pc2100 module. Can I just insert into a spare slot, and switch on,
or do I need to do anything else.

All you need to do is install the RAM module in any spare slot
and turn on the power.

Put the 512 MB stick in RAM slot 1 and the 128 MB stick in slot 2. It
should work fine.
