Hi guys,
lately win xp shows a blue screen with the following error:
DRIVER_IRQL _NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

I read that this error is caused by the ram.
Before I give it back to the seller I would like to test the ram.

But I can't find a good tester to test a 1 GB of ram (2x512 - I did
search by google) and I don't have a floppy driver.

Can anybody help me?
Tnx

Funny you should ask. I just tonight downloaded a memory tester and
burned an iso image to a cd. As to how good it is... can't say, but it
seems to work, and like most of them, it will test until you stop it.
Check it out at http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp

You can burn a bootable Memtest86 CDROM by downloading the ISO file for
memtest86 from here: http://www.memtest86.com/

Also, since you have 2 modules of RAM you could remove each in turn to
identify which is faulty, but obviously if both are faulty that wouldn't
work although 2 faulty modules is unlikely. Another method is to try known
working RAM from another computer. But be aware that of the implications for
the warranty of opening the case.

I've used Memtest on 4gb, no problems.

It comes as an .iso image, you burn it to CD and boot from the CD.

After 34 hours the test was still running...
Any other good idea?
Tnx

Memtest runs until you stop it. When it finishes it simply starts
over. If it didn't whine about anything in 34 hours your memory is
ok.

So, why I receive this error?
