Related to "won't boot troubleshoot guide" above. Running a RAM test with
Memtest-86 v3.3 that is in Ultimate Boot Disk. So far it has been running
over 2 hours and I have 534 errors and counting. I'm on test #7. How long
does this test program run? I have no idea whether these errors are "within
range" or what.. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Steve T.

You should be using memtest86+ v. 1.70 -- http://www.memtest.org/

Thanks guys. I replaced the RAM modules, had them since January 2007; with
the original ones that came with the PC and it booted up on the first try.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for awhile. Thanks again, Steve T.

Until you stop it, if you didn't specify the number of runs you wanted
ahead of time.

What do you mean by "within range?" Errors mean your memory (the
speicifed module, that is) needs to be replaced. Period.
