Ram + Post weirdness.

[Machine Messiah]

Have an ECS Nforce 570 SLIT-A (V5.1) mobo that will not post. I had 2
gigs of ram installed, turned on the machine and got 1 long beep (Award
Bios). Then tried with just 1 stick of ram. Installed to slot closest to
IDE controller = another long beep. Move ram to slot farthest from IDE
controller, beeping stops but no post either.
Board takes 240 pin DDR2 533/667 ram WHICH IS WHAT I THOUGHT I BOUGHT!!
Any suggestions?
