Ram not in dual channel mode?

Before you do, see if you can confirm that the memory is good.

I tried 2 of my old 512MB PC2700 ram, same problem.

Are those old 512MB modules matched sets? If not, dual-channel mode may
not work.

You need to confirm that the memory you have is good.
