RAM memory not properly shown

Have 256mb Kingston PC2100 DDR ram and put another of same in bank 2, but in
My Computer it only shows 256mb. Running Sandra XI-SP1a it shows 512mb in
bank 0/1 and nothing in slot 2 even though it shows proper in memory module
1 and 2 as 256mb each. Is winxp-pro confused or is something wrong?

Try switching them around,also,if the board has 4 slots,then 1 card would go
in slot 1 & the other slot 3,2 & 4 empty...
