RAID Re-installation

My motherboard is faulty, so I got to replace it and reinstall the Windows XP
also. I'm using 40GB IDE HDD as the bootable drive, and also I have 2 x 120GB
SATA HDD configured as RAID 0.
Now that if I replaced the motherboard. Will I lose the data on my 2 x 120GB
HDD when I reconfigure the RAID 0? or actually I'm not required to recreate
the array (Just change the motherboard and enable the RAID in the BIOS only)?
If not, how to I reconfigure back my 2 x 120GB as RAID 0 without losing any
data?
Is it true that it doesn't require reconfiguration for the RAID 0 if I use
back the same model of motherboard? How about I use another model of
motherboard, will it affect anything on the my current RAID setup?
PS: I'll only connect my 2 x 120GB HDD after finish installing the OS on my
IDE 40GB HDD. (Is this the correct way?)

Thanks.....
Robin
