RAID 1 after first drive Installation

MB P5DWH; Vista Ultimate; Hitachi DeskStar 300 GB.

ANyone knows if its posible to "raid 2" on an Intel motherboard after clean
installof Vistal Ultimate?

If your mobo supports raid
Read the mobo manual, available from Asus if you dont have it

mobo supports RAID - standard instruction is to install and RAID drives
before OS install.

with a mirror drive you can "usually" instal the second drive, correctly
amend any bios settings then reboot & enter the raid config utility to build
the array (this only applies to a mirror array)
NB I've not checked your mobo manual but on some, certain sata connectors
have to be used, I assume also that your raid controler is by default
supported in Vista & you dont have to use the F6 option to install third
party (raid controler) drivers in either a clean or repair instalation.

I agree with regard the ref to a decent external raid controler
