For what it's worth, I can't get the any Intel Application Accelerator
software installed for that motherboard (installed the Intel Chipset
software without problems). Both the version of the IAA software on the
supplied cd and from Intel's website fail during installation.

I too would like to see a solution for this.

Be the installation on a raid or not, the problem is that
Windows XP installation files set is not including the
SATA drivers. For Win XP, there is therefore no HDD for
installing it. It can recognizes IDE or SCSI or ... but
not SATA (for the current available version).

See: http://maxtor.custhelp.com/cgi-
bin/maxtor.cfg/php/enduser/olh_adp.php?p_faqid=1522

What I gonna do is placing an IDE drive into my new
machine with XP already installed. Then adding the SATA
drivers and I hope to have my SATA HDD recognized. Then
formatting, installation then removing the IDE HDD to
boot from the SATA. I'll keep you posted about the result.

This, of course, waiting from Microsoft for installation
disks with up-to-date drivers...
