Rage 128 Pro - tuner or just video out?

I picked up an old ATI Rage 128 Pro for a couple bucks (no install
discs included) for a Win98se box. It's got a cable hookup on it, so I
assumed this was a TV tuner.... yet it's not listed with the
All-in-Wonder cards on ATI.com, nor is there a Multimedia Center
download on it's drivers/software page.

So is it a TV tuner or just a second video out that uses a cable cord?

I downloaded Multimedia Center for another older card (since it appears
to be the same for them all). On install I get this error...

Unhandled Exception
Error Number: 0x80070725
Description: Incompatible version of the RPC stub.

If this is a tuner, anyone know where I can download free software that
will work?

Actually there was an AIW 128 Pro. Does your card look like the one in this
brochure:

This product is listed under "discontinued/legacy" on AMD-ATi's web site, so
only basic display drivers are provided. Good luck finding tuner software
for it, unless you come across an old install CD.

If it has a tuner it'll have a co-axial input into a large silver box.. It
would have to be an All-in-Wonder. The standard card has composite and
S-Video out to display on a TV. If you have video in without a tuner, that's
called VIVO. If that's what you have it'll accept video but you'd have to
use a VCR/cable box for the tuner.

I think the drivers for the AIW or VIVO cards come with the display card
drivers. Been a long time. You need DX8.1. AFAIK DX9 doesn't work. MMC7.2
was the last supported version for Rage128 cards.

Look for "Legacy" in the first 2 columns. Go to the Customer Care site and
search for variations of MMC 7.2 to find it. You can get everything from the
sites except the CoDec for the DVD player. If you have a DVD drive you
probably already have a better program.

Yeah, but who's counting GBs when you had "the power of speed"! :)

Those were the days when ATi freely changed core and memory clocks at will
from batch to batch, then slapped on a 5-year warranty on the cards. Wonder
if the Santa Clara, CA office is still running?
