Radio Buttons Locked

Still working on some recent templates. They are password protected and
contain two radio buttons.

Problem: Once I protect and then save the template, the radio buttons
are useless b/c the error is telling me that "the cell or chart" is
password protected and that I have to enter the password in order to be
able to select the radio button...

OS: Mac OS 9
Software: Office 2001

Is it possible for me to setup the radio button so that it unlocks and
relocks as the user activates the radio button? Could this be
specifically related to a problem with Mac? Since I am not having the
same problem on XP?

Do you have a linked cell for your option buttons?

Is that linked cell locked on a protected worksheet?

If yes, then unlock the cell or move the linked cell to another worksheet
(hidden?????).
 
PS. If it was the linked cell causing the trouble, I have the same trouble in
xl2002.
