Radio Button

I am using a spreadsheet set up by somebody else. It has several columns,
where if you click on the radio button at the top, a data entry windows pops
up and prompts the user to enter data for entry in cells of that column. I
would like to know what those radio buttons are actually called in excel
help, and a little more about how they work. Whoever wrote the spreadsheet
made some mistakes, and I want to go in and see if I can fix them.

Thanks,

RadioButton is correct. As a group they are called activeX controls.
Typing this in 2003 came up with lots of information.

If you show the ControlToolbox toolbar and let your cursor linger over the
"radiobutton", you'll see "Option Button".

Thanks for that, my reply was awful. I would still refer to them as Radio
Buttons. (Old fashioned), but I was trying to get the OP to type, ActiveX,
that had returned plenty of useful tips in Help.

I promise to try and use option buttons in the future ;-)

I still use radio buttons in conversation. Maybe if you refered to them as
"direct satellite radio buttons", they wouldn't be old fashioned.
