Radeon 7000 vs GF2 GTS

My son has a nVidia GF2 GTS in his PC for games and watching movies on
the TV.
I got an old PC with a Radeon 7000 inside and was wondering if it would
match\beat\lose to the Geforce2 GTS? The GF2 has crappy TV-out that made
me get TV-Tool to watch movies but would the Radeon outperform it in games?

Thanks,
J

If you look through the following articles, you'll be able to work out a
rough comparsion of the GTS and the 7000.

However, if you don't need two cards, put them both up for auction on eBay.
You could then get a GeForce4 Ti from there, which will eat both of the
aforementioned cards for breakfast.

The original Radeon (7200) was comparable to the GF1.

De GTS will be about the equal of a 7500, which is 3 times faster than the
7000. I have the thing (Radeon VE or 7000) myself, and thought the image
quality is great, it doesnt make for any great gaming :-|

Could always run 3dmark2001se on both cards and compare the benchmark to see
which is better.

Thanks. I also looked at the older Tom's Hardware links too. (Had
forgotten the older reviews) and was surprised how crappy it is.
Since it can't beat the GF2 GTS it looks barely able to match the GF256
DDR in my wife's PC.
All this was matched with a P4 1.4Ghz. Good ol' MDG selling low end
crap. :-\
