R/W reads, but no writing

I'm so frustrated with problem. MS sends me to Dell who
sends me back to MS. My CD R/W drive will read cd's but
will no longer let me write. Error message is:
E:\is not Accessible
Incorrect Function

Is it a new computer from Dell, RMA the CD-RW. Otherwise, replace the unit
with a new one.

I would check KB # 314060 I had this same proble with
several Dell's and this fixed the problem in all cases.
