quoting original text doesn't work if original mail is UTF-8

If you hit reply on plain-text ISO-8859-2 mail the original text will be
quoted correctly:
This is original text

However, if original mail is UTF-8 encoded (Content-Type: text/plain;
charset=utf-8) quoting does not work at all:

This is original text

Typing your own replies into unquoted text results in "who typed what?"
situation.

Your message was in UTF-8 as is this one and quoting seems to be correct.

The only case where I know of a problem is if the message you are replying
to was on MIME/Quoted Printable.

You're right. I overlooked the following header:

Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

Is there any workaround for this quoted-printable problem?

As far back as I can remember, Outlook Express was unable to indent
quoted text if the original used quoted-printable format. By comparison,
the Mozilla variants and other third party email clients never had this
limitation. I'll have to run some tests to see if this bug has been fixed in
Windows Live Mail.

Following up: I am happy to report that this long-standing bug
has been fixed in the current build of Windows Live Mail.

This message should be MIME/Quoted Printable.
When it shows up here I'll reply in MIME/None.

Looks good here, but I'm using WLM.
My sending format uses QP for emails, but Uuencode for newsgroup posts.

Okay, WLM has it fixed but WinMail doesn't.
