Hi, all. I just bought this keyboard and am having a few strange
problems with it. The most pressing is the strange behavoir of the
mouse. It has been hard to verify a pattern precicely but here's what
I am seeing:
The mouse appears to automatically scroll down a page when I move it
however this only appears to happen in documents; a word doc, Adobe
etc. The problem isn't present in Internet explorer. It doesn't do
this all the time however. I noticed that it appears to do this a few
seconds after using the wheel to scroll. Even if I continue to move
the mouse randomly, the page will scroll one screen down after about
5-10seconds and never do it again unless I hit the wheel.Or so it
seems anyway.
The mouse is set as a wireless optical wheel mouse in the control
panel. The middle button is set as 'recall last window' but even when
i give in no function, the problem persists.

Now, there is a problem in IE6 as well. As I stated, the middle button
is set to recall the last window and 19 out of 20 this works. However,
occassionally, when I press the middle button, the universal scroll
icon appears instead of switching windows. If I click the button
again, the page reloads.
I have done extensive searching and found a few with similiar problems
but not exact but still no solution.
Any ideas as to a fix?
Now, a couple of quick questions on the keyboard, unrelated to the
above.
This keyboard has duel functioning F keys. They are preprogrammed but
can be user programmed. To switch to and from the default functions to
programmed functions, there is an FLOCK key. Problem is, when the PC
is booted, the default setting is the programmed function and not the
default F key function particular to each program. I often forget to
hot the FLOCK key and when I hit an F key an undesireable function is
often carried out - like close program. It there a way to make it so
the default functions are used unless i override it with the F LOCK?
Finally, I had a third party programmable keyboard prior to this one.
Programming the keys allowed you to even use shortcuts to launch
applications and not pointing to the application itself. One of the
functions I used was to dial-up my server (can't get anything else
where I live). However, I cannot find a way to program this keyboard
so that I can connect using dial up networking with the touch of a
button. Any suggestions? Is there an actual application that dial-up
short cut actually uses?
Thanks a 1,000,000 in advance!

At work, I have a MS optical mouse(not wireless). Sometimes when I pick up
the mouse to relocate the pointer, the auto scroll function kicks in when I
put it back down on the mouse pad. I don't slam it down, but it doesn't take
much to activate the AS function. Overall, I am disappointed in the
performance of MS pointing devices as of late, including the latest software
with diminished functions.
