Quicktime movie

I have downloaded an .mov movie (Quicktime format) and I would like to use
the movie in a Powerpoint presentation.

Does anybody know who I can convert the movie into an acceptable format for
Powerpoint such as .avi etc...? Any freeware out there? I have googled it
but came back with nothing specific. I don't really want to insert the movie
as an executable file as I would like the presentation to just run
automatically.

Any guidance please....

I have used Quick Time Pro to convert movie files to avi files that PP can
use. Open the movie in QuickTime and export it to an avi file. It has
worked for me in the past although sometimes the resolution of the avi is not
as good, but usable.
