Quicklaunch and accesories gone

I have a PC with winXP Pro on it. The users quick launch icons are
gone and in start.. programs the accessories file is gone also. If you
move an icon back to the quick launch bar it says its already there. I
turned on show hidden files and some of her desktop icons that also
dissapeared came back as hidden files (ghosted out). Has anyone run
into this problem?

Right-click "start" click properties, Taskbar tab. Tick or un-tick your preferences.
You can also customize which has other options.
