When I go to the properties sheet for my hard drive, i have a tab that says
"Quickfinder."

Is this part of Windows or this some other program. It never used to be
there, so . . . . . .?

Quickfinder is a 3rd party program. Where exactly does it appear (for
folders/drive Properties etc)?

You may use ShellExView to enable/disable/ or view information about the
Property sheet.
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html

Download and run ShellExView. Sort by "Type", and inspect "Property Sheet"
items.

It's on the properties sheet of drives and folders, even when there is no
disc in the drive.

If for Drives and Folders, then try this:

1. Open Regedit.exe and navigate to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\PropertySheetHandlers

2. Click File, choose Export and save the branch to a REG file

3. Right-click the REG file and choose Edit, to view the contents in Notepad

4. Copy the contents and post it here.

In a fresh XP installation, "BriefcasePage" is the only handler which
appears under the above key. BTW, have you tried ShellExView, in the
meantime?

Nevermind, ShellExView did help, I just didn't know what I was doing last
time I posted. I got rid of it, thanks for the help. Apparently it had
something to do with Corel Wordperfect office 2002
