Oh Lord, not this piece of junk again. It is by far the NAGGIEST nagware on
the planet. And if I remember correctly, you can't even uninstall the damn
thing unless you're on line and tell them why you're uninstalling.

It inspires me to create a new software category -- pain in the ass ware.

Thanks for pointing this one out. Tramp, any chance you could take
note of these responses and trim the bad ones from the list you post?

Hiya Q,

Yes, some of the stuff I post turns out to be whateverware. A few
things though.

1. I have never intentionally posted shareware. It happens sometimes
though. Usually either because I am posting fast or the websites do not
indicate the change from freeware to shareware. Sometime the only way
to tell about a program is to install it. I'm only human and make
mistakes.

2. IMO adware, liteware, nagware, cardware etc etc are all freeware. I
don't like this stuff anymore than the next person. But I will use what
I have to to get a job done. I know that people have their own ideas on
what is acceptable to them. This is fine with me. I chose not to spend
my time trying to change their minds (I'm not saying that this is what
you are doing)

3. All I do is post programs that people might not know about. If they
chose to use them that's great. If not that's fine too.

4. Of the roughly 200 programs I posted in the last 2 days most of them
are what most would consider freeware.

5. Yeah, I purposely throw in some adware programs from time to time
just to annoy the squares. :) Some people here take the definition of
freeware and themselves way to seriously.

6. Yeah I change my name. It's all in fun though because most (and I'll
say it again) most of the people that complain about my posting are
realllly uptight. ;-)

7. This is the ONLY newsgroup that I subscribe to where people complain
about the amount of information that is posted. I don't get it. The
newsgroups is about freeware and that's what I post. I don't post about
vacations, conspiracies to bring down freeware, or how much Microsoft
sucks. When I post to other newsgroups floods, no-floods, binaries, no
binaries people appreciate the effort.

If I had a list of programs I would probably get rid of the "bad ones"
I usually post while I'm actually surfing.

Have a nice day! :)

You should really read a newsgroup for a few weeks before you start
doing massive posting, so that you learn what behavior is acceptable
and what's frowned on. In acf, for the most part, people ask for a
solution to a problem and others post freeware solutions to that
problem. This isn't a "post all the freeware you know about"
newsgroup.

And constant nym-changing is only appreciated in warez and hackerz
groups - definitely not here.

Hiya,

I've been around here since 2001. It's your opinion that this isn't a
"post all the freeware you know about"
newsgroup" I have a different opnion. :) People worry way to much
about a little thing like someones posting name. Have a nice day! :)

People have respectfully requested that you not morph it, so that they
can filter the floods if they choose. Do you morph for the same reason
you intentionally post adware without warning, just to annoy people?

If you were simply flooding I'd just down-score you.

If you had anything valuable to add to the group I'd see it in the
replies you receive, since individual posts don't downscore the
thread. This fuction of Xnews alone alows me to read 30+ groups a
day in less then two hours, while still keeping my sanity.

But you had to be difficult. You've got it into your head that you
could cirumvent those who are filtering you out by diliberatly
nymshifting. The funny thing is, there is nothing on the face of
the planet that could force me (or anyone else) to read, or even
aknowlage a post we don't want to. That's the way it is.

So "little one", since you've "made a troll of yourself" the only
action left is to treat you like one. Say hello to my hamster...

He's such a hungry critter. };8)

There was also "(e-mail address removed)" being used (have given up searching for
others).

In Xnews I'm scoring

Agreed. So most of them were "on topic". A nice change from the
pointless anti Corliss rants. :)

Some good freeware programs that I hadn't seen in that lot too.

Thanks Tramp. :)

Regards, John.
