1. If I want to edit 'old' MM2 project where the original
(and large) dv .avi files have been deleted, does MM2
recognize clips if re-import them from dv-tape back to pc
(same place, same name)?

2. I'm having some trouble while editing, can't preview
right - video slows down quite a lot and there's problem
with audio as well. I'm using files about 2 Gb, should
they be smaller?

My attempts to do that didn't work. Apparently the new big clip isn't
exactly the same as the old one in it's internal properties, and MM2
wouldn't accept it. But it can't hurt to try it.

There's no reason why it should be smaller.

Give your hard drive a defrag if you haven't done so lately.
