Question ????

2 computers networked, #1 is a desktop with a dial-up to the net. It
has ics and sygate as my firewall. # 2 is a laptop. Question is, do I
need a firewall on the laptop ??

Yes. To give one example of why, it will stop trojans from calling home from
your laptop.
