I just upgraded from an Audigy 2 Platinum to an Audigy 2 Platinum ZS.
During the install process and continuing to date I get the following 2 error messages during boot:
1.) The Service Data Base Is Locked
2.) Can't Start Kernel Mode Driver Service
The 2 Windows are titled "Start Services".
I click "OK" (no other option) to those windows and all function OK.
Does anyone know what this is and how I can correct it?
The error in event viewer says: "DCOM got error "The service database is locked." attempting to start SENS with arguments ""in order to run the server: {D3938AB0-5B9D-00AA004ABD5E}
I have no idea what the above means.
Microsoft help system says:
Explanation
The service can be started. However, the service controller received an error.
User Action
Check the Event Viewer for any errors related to the service controller.
But I still have no idea what to do. I see no service listed as "SENS" and I do not know what it is or what to do. Any ideas?
Did you download the most current driver for your new sound card from Audigy?

Look for system event notification service. Check that it is set to automatic
and started.
