question: showing three or more columns in one cell?

Greetings.

I have following problem.
I want to see three columns of table 2 in ONE cell of table 1.

In table 2 is written:

column A: column B:
column C:
date of the pre-experiment name of the pre-experiment
result of pre-experiment
11.09.2001 Laser
pos.
22.09.2001 Laser
neg

In table 1 I have for example the colum C, it is called: "Pre-Experiments:
Date,Name,Result"

In tabel C2 for example I would like to klick and the above mentioned list
of table 2 pops up.

How can I do this in Excel, possibly without additional programs and within
the SAME map?
Also, as you can see the pre-experiment data is filled with
"sentences"/text, not with formulars.

Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Tris

having a bit of a problem following what you're after but does the following
formula give you what you want
=A2 & " " & B2 & " " & C2
where A2, B2 & C2 are your three individual columns in table 2
and the formula is in the cell in table 1

- if you're tables are on separate sheets you will need to reference the
sheet name as well, e.g.
=SHEET2!A2 & " " & SHEET2!B2 & " " & SHEET2!C2

You can't. In MS Word you can subdivide what look like
cells, but not in Excel. The closest that you can come
to the effect that you want is to create a picture and paste
that picture over a cell. But the picture will no longer be
interacting with the worksheet(s).

You can create a picture from a group of selected cells as follows:
select contiguous cells, copy (ctrl+c), use Shift+Edit. You can copy picture, then using normal paste (ctrl+v)
